Does anykitty have a suggestion on how to keep this girl clean? It might be too dangerous for her heart to go in a REAL bath. Though we all know she needs a good, long SOAK. Mama finally got her to eat again by giving her Meow Mix instead of Science Diet (Scout and I hover in the wings. We're the clean-up crew) , but this didn't solve her "I'm too old for this. You clean me" routine. She's totally given up on all grooming. EEWW! Scout and I won't touch her dirty paws with a ten-foot pole. That means Mama's got to bathe her. She's at her wits end with what to do. Good thing I'm easy.

Ah, poor Simone gots the dirty paws. Maybe you could take a warm wet washcloth and gently massage her dirty paws with it. I love getting a paw massage.
Oh dear! I was going to suggest just what Daisy said. Is there anyone who might be able to hold her in a towel if she fusses. You could wrap her like a burrito and do one paw at a time. That is how my claws have to be trimmed.

Oh gosh. Baby wipes? but as we learned with our foster, Fudgers Smudgers, the wet only makes the stank bigger.

Yup, a warm soft wash clothe...poor Simone, at least she's eating.
I've never had to deal with that. I would do what Daisy suggested, use a warm wet washcloth. Maybe you could tackle one area of her body every day until she's all cleaned up. Except for doing her paws more frequently. Good luck to you!

Baby Wipes. Mommy used those at the shelter for the older kitties. Make sure you get the gentle unscented ones.
